We had some birthday fun at Manors this weekend! All the birthday essentials were necessary. Sweet treats, balloons, and smiling faces! We appreciate our residents and staff and love to celebrate alongside them. Happy Birthday!!!

Glasses, suspenders, brains… check! Manors was getting nerdy this week. We had a blast putting on crazy outfits and competing for the best dressed! Our residents and staff really blew us away with their creativity and dedication, as usual. Senior living really is all about having fun!

We’re having lots of fun this summer at Manors! Our Parkland Manor residents spent some time in the sun and got their hands dirty with an exciting gardening project. We have all kinds of amazing activities coming up that we can’t wait to share!
Creativity doesn’t come to a standstill when you hit a certain age! In fact, it oftentimes does the exact opposite. The pursuit of art in older age is actually extremely beneficial to the mind and body. This “art” we talk about doesn’t have to be in the form of beautiful sculptures, oil paintings, or perfect haikus either. Creative action is as easy as doodling on a napkin or coloring in the lines!
We are always being fed the newest fitness trends to follow for a healthy life. The kinds of movement being promoted to us as we age are significantly different than what is pushed for the younger crowd, but the way you work out may not necessarily have to change much from what you were used to after all!
Let’s have a chat about the “good ole days”. Days were filled with crowded classroom activities, noisy team drills, family meals, movie dates, and sleepovers with friends spent whispering until 3 AM. Whether you prefer to be alone or are you thrive off a deep conversation, when we are younger, we are inevitably thrown into more social situations.
